NOTD: Nubar 2010 over Wet N Wild Black Creme

Hello! I know this isn’t very “summery,” but I just had to do this look. This is one (ONE) coat of Wet n Wild Black Creme (yeah, ONE COAT) and one coat of Nubar 2o1o. This is super messy because it’s my left hand. I’m left handed. 🙂

Then, because a matte look was the plan all along, I added a coat of Essie Matte About You. But, because I’m a genius, I forgot to take pictures, but here’s the idea.

TA DAAAA! Now, with the flash, this looks gray. It’s not. It’s so so so black. And so matte. And the nubar topcoat looks like molten lava, or leaves. 😀

China Glaze Poolside Collection: Flip Flop Fantasy

Flip Flop FANTASTIC! Do you see that neon-y awesome?!

COLOR: Neon coral. It’s a more pink coral than orange.

APPLICATION: Application was a nightmare. It took three super uneven coats, two coats of Seche Vite, another coat of polish, then a topcoat of Seche Vite. It wasn’t the formula though, it was about 100 degrees, super humid. We were also painting our living room, and the paint was drying super fast! So, naturally, I had to paint my nails with a superfast drying NEON MATTE NAIL POLISH. (haha)

WEAR: The wear wasn’t very good, only 12 or so hours before some serious chips started setting in. Again, I believe this to be because of the aforementioned weather.

FINAL THOUGHTS: I… I should try this again before I judge it… 🙂 But the color, once smoothed out, is crazy! The color true to life is the glowing one in the bottle. I know, right?!

China Glaze Island Escape Collection: Cha Cha Cha — Photos, Swatches, Review

Picture taken after four days of wear. That’s right! Four days! No chips!

GOLDEN APPLE GORGEOUS. Cha Cha Cha is a beautiful baby from the Summer 2011 Island Escape collection. I’m not a green kind of person, but the past few weeks I can’t get enough of the earth tone on my nails! Now, the shimmer in this can come off slightly frosty, but just throw on some gold jewelry and it becomes absolutely stunning.

COLOR: Bright and brilliant green with dazzling gold shimmer.

APPLICATION: This went on smooth and opaque in just two coats.

WEAR: I wore this for four days and there were no chips or wear at all. I didn’t use a base coat or topcoat.

I don’t know how this pares up in a Dupe Off against Zoya Apple, but I intend on finding out soon. If you own Apple and/or Cha Cha Cha, let me know what you think! I think this color is unique enough that it’s a must-have.
