Lamborghini Manicure: China Glaze Megabyte and Liquid Leather

A little something I did, inspired by a keychain I received in the mail. I wanted a black and green look. In this I found that I have two gold nail polishes. Megabyte and GR8. Which are pretty much the same in that they’re holographic blond golds. Which is not what I was looking for in this. I wanted a deep gold foil, or Minx chrome gold mirror-y… Meh. I was a little upset with the outcome, but I liked the concept.

IMG_7563See? The gold just doesn’t stand up to the challenge. But Konad always helps.

I added a paint-splatter print using Konad m70. I planned an “oil slick” look. I want to try this again, maybe using a dark holo over black? That’d be cool I think. Maybe I’ll revisit this idea later and do it correctly.

NARS Back Room and Adelita Manicure | Photos and Review

This is a quick one I did at work. It’s just a simple layering of Adelita over Back Room.

Back Room is a basic black cream. It’s a really, really good one though. It dries down to the glossiest finish ever. So crisp and shiny. *le sigh* Opaque in two coats. The polish I used was a tester that was pretty old, so the formula was a little thick, but still pretty good. The thickness did pull a little at the tips, and you can see that. It’s not wear, just pulled away.

Adelita is a sheer gold shimmer with some pink flash to it. Over black it’s a gorgeous gold and pink shifting shimmer.

NOTD: China Glaze Haunting

So… hi again! Because I’m the smartest person in the math world, I set the last one for TODAY… not noonish YESTERDAY. I’m so awesome. But this is todays NOTD. Aye yi yi. Today I have Haunting from the one and only China Glaze. Well, not only… I have a few other favorites… ;D Oh, and by the way, this is my 102nd post! I missed my 100! How did that slip by me?! Oh well. Let’s get to it.

First of all, yes; those are chips. And not the yummy kind. I painted my nails precisely 12 hours ago. I applied everything like a pro, and have an amazing topcoat on. And yet this polish is practically jumping off my nails. All I did was go to work! I work at a movie theater. I print tickets and fill drinks. It’s not strenuous. And we weren’t even busy!

The color is pretty though. Black is hard for me to wear because, and I don’t know if you can tell, but I have tiny hands, and skinny. And the black looks harsh. I wear a size four ring on my ring finger, and that’s just because of my knuckle, my fingers are long and skinny, but not creepy. I don’t think so, at least. Gosh, am I rambling today.

Haunting is a true jet black creme with pretty dense silver glitter. Up close it’s glam and fun, but from far away it looks like a super sparkly black creme, the glitter kind of adds a shine without look like glitter (from far away). It applied pretty thick, which may have something to do with the wear issue, but it dried quickly and wasn’t too bumpy.

See? Shimmery goodness. Cell phone picture– no judging. Skrawny fingers.

Ugh. The chips.

Sad chips. And some mighty fine tip wear.

Space debris! Asteroid field! Whee!

Have a wonderful day!
