Water You Waiting For is a bright glitter polish jam-packed with light and dark blue, navy, and a little green and purple thrown in. SUPER sparkly. Absolutely gorgeous. I don’t have one even close. I love these types of glitters. A must-have, in my opinion.

Zoya Charla – Matte! NOTM | Photos and Review

A quick post from a while ago. I’m still trying to play catch-up with you guys. I’ve been so out of it these past few weeks. Major shakeups at work, as well as getting two or three new jobs. Unfortunately, that means that this blog has fallen by the wayside. But now I think that everything is in order – at least for now. I have a bunch of stuff to post, including China Glazes’ On Safari collection, even though it’s almost Holiday season… I’m even going to try and review some fragrances as well.

So today for you I have Zoya Charla, which I cannot believe I haven’t had on here before! Ivanka and Charla are probably my favorite polishes from Zoya. Charla is a blue teal with golden shimmer. This color was last years “Chanel Peridot,” in that there were a thousand versions of the same color. One I can name off the top of my head is O.P.I. Catch Me In Your Net.

I wore this a few weeks back and decided to mix it up by applying a coat of Essie Matte About You.

It gave it that wonderful velvety sexy look to the glitter polish. It looked frosted and perfect. Obviously, with it being a matte polish now, it chipped fairly quickly, but that’s life.

Zoya Charla or any one of its twins are a must have. I prefer Zoya’s version more than any others. Ivanka, though, is a must have.

China Glaze Crackle Glitters | Press Release

Hi! Today I have a press release from China Glaze for their new collection of crackle nail polishes, and this time, they’re glitter! I actually have these in front of me (swatches being posted tomorrow or Saturday) so I’ll tell you how amazinly sparkly these are to the eye.

China Glaze® Introduces Four New Crackle Glitter Polishes May 2012

Los Angeles, CA – (March 2012):  Sparkle all summer long with China Glaze®’s new Crackle Glitters collection.  Once again taking crackle technology to the next level, this third-generation polish pairs the edgy innovation of crackling nail lacquer with glamorous glitters.

Create glamorously different looks with just one sweep of China Glaze® CrackleGlitters.  Layer over different base colors to create bold styles.  Use a lighter coat to create a fine crackle, a thicker coat for a deep shatter effect.  Brush sideways or on an angle to create different looks.  As versatile and edgy as China Glaze®’s biggest celebrity fans (LadyGaga, Rihanna, NicoleRitchie and KellyOsbourne, to name a few), China Glaze® CrackleGlitters add a spark(le) to one of the hottest nail art trends!

Click the pictures for full size!

Glam-More | Bold fuchsia

I agree that this is a bold fuchsia, however it does seem to lean a bit more purple. Super dense and super sparkly, which comes in handy on the nail (SPOILER ALERT)

Gleam Me Up | Bright sky blue

This is definitely a sky blue, though it’s not as vivid as the bottle picture shows. It’s a thinner glitter, which translates on the nail (SPOILER ALERT). It’s also a light sky blue in the light, then a darker, stormier color in the shade. Grayer, maybe.

Jade-d | Radiant bright green

This is the pale alligator/tree green that China Glaze loves, it’s super close to L8R G8R and Laser Lime in color, but without being holographic, of course. It’s very very spring-y/

Luminous Lavender | Luscious light purple

This bottle picture really isn’t accurate. This polish isn’t nearly as vivid. It’s actually a soft light grape purple color. A touch of pink, but it’s a light lavender. It’s really soft and super spring-y.

Which ones are you guys looking forward to?

Off to take pictures of the polish I’m wearing now, then swatch these tomorrow!

NOTD: China Glaze Haunting

So… hi again! Because I’m the smartest person in the math world, I set the last one for TODAY… not noonish YESTERDAY. I’m so awesome. But this is todays NOTD. Aye yi yi. Today I have Haunting from the one and only China Glaze. Well, not only… I have a few other favorites… ;D Oh, and by the way, this is my 102nd post! I missed my 100! How did that slip by me?! Oh well. Let’s get to it.

First of all, yes; those are chips. And not the yummy kind. I painted my nails precisely 12 hours ago. I applied everything like a pro, and have an amazing topcoat on. And yet this polish is practically jumping off my nails. All I did was go to work! I work at a movie theater. I print tickets and fill drinks. It’s not strenuous. And we weren’t even busy!

The color is pretty though. Black is hard for me to wear because, and I don’t know if you can tell, but I have tiny hands, and skinny. And the black looks harsh. I wear a size four ring on my ring finger, and that’s just because of my knuckle, my fingers are long and skinny, but not creepy. I don’t think so, at least. Gosh, am I rambling today.

Haunting is a true jet black creme with pretty dense silver glitter. Up close it’s glam and fun, but from far away it looks like a super sparkly black creme, the glitter kind of adds a shine without look like glitter (from far away). It applied pretty thick, which may have something to do with the wear issue, but it dried quickly and wasn’t too bumpy.

See? Shimmery goodness. Cell phone picture– no judging. Skrawny fingers.

Ugh. The chips.

Sad chips. And some mighty fine tip wear.

Space debris! Asteroid field! Whee!

Have a wonderful day!

Happy Holidays with China Glaze Love Marilyn! — Photos, Swatches, Review

Hello folks! Today I have one of China Glaze’s newest polishes, from the Eye Candy collection, in which each is polish has a Marilyn Monroe theme. I’m not a huge fan of glitters, so I didn’t get the whole collection, instead I only got three. The first one I have to show you is Love Marilyn, as I was feeling über festive.

Love Marilyn is absolutely packed with red glitter and fewer larger silver hexagon (I think) glitter in a clear base. It’s shown here with three coats, and unless you want to spend three hours getting it off, should probably be best to layer with.

Application was as to be expected from a glitter like this. Thick, kinda hard to work with. It’s super gritty when you’re done and needs a couple layers of a thicker topcoat to feel smooth. I used three or four coats of China Glaze Fast Forward and it still feels lumpy.

As I was picking off the price stickers on my christmas presents as I was wrapping them, a tiny chunk decided to pop off, but other than that, it’s been 24 hours and everything is still in place. Except that one chip. I won’t keep this on much longer because I can’t stand the grittiness, but it’s a super sparkly gorgeous polish that is absolutely perfect for the holiday. Also, I can usually get a week out of China Glaze polishes, and I’m rough on my nails.

I hope all of you have an excellent holiday season! I have the perfect polish for New Years Eve too! More on that in a few days 😉
