Lancôme new shadows for fall | Swatches, Photos, Review

611 Attitude | is a soft and opaque lustrous chrome-dark-silver-ish shimmer.

407 Fashion Do | is a super sparkly navy, almost cobalt, with silver and midnight pieces mixed in. It’s not completely opaque, but the color is worth a little work. I would be concerned about fallout.

313 Statement Piece | is a pure glam chic mess of lavender and electric purple and about a thousand other colors it feels like. Would definitely worry about fallout with this one.

All three are available for $19 at department stores now. Attitude is a must-have, and the other two will be amazing for holiday time.

Lancôme Artliner 24H | The Complete New Collections!

Black Diamond, Chrome, Amethyst, Emerald, Chrome, Sapphire, Turquoise, Gold, Copper, and Jade.

The formula on these are absolute perfect. Scary amazing pigmentation, long lasting.

Absolutely perfect. Stunning, show stopping.

Warning: Turquoise does leave a stain, a la Stila Bora Bora.

$30 at department stores, Sephora, and Ulta.

UPDATE: after six and a half hours of wear, they haven’t budged! I’ve washed my hands a couple times with soap, used paper towel to dry. Not a sparkle lost.

Lancome Spring 2013 Wedding Day Collection | Swatches, Photos, Review

Lancôme is releasing a little bridal collection this spring, which is a line of six pearl-finished polishes.

521M Miss Porcelaine | Lancôme describes it as a “light pastel nude.” I’d describe it better as a pearlized light champagne or deep ivory. Great formula, very little brushstrokes. Really catches the light.

224M Beige Bachelorette | Lancôme describes it as a “medium pastel beige.” I’d say that’s about right. Almost brushstroke-free. It’s a very “mannequin-hands” color for me.

(The pink isn’t part of the Wedding Day collection, but I believe it’s Rose Plumeti, a soft rose pearl.)

435B Lilac Love | Lancôme describes it as a “light pastel purple.” Which is the most generic description ever. It’s a light pearlized lilac. Quite a bit of brushstrokes, and not too unlike Julep Alice (REVIEW COMING SOON)

533B I Do, Blue | Described by Lancôme as a “light pastel blue,” it’s a brushstrokey, almost just straight-up frosty light blue.

537N Pearl Grey | This one is described as a “light pearl grey.” Now… this is a medium grey taupe color. It’s barely gray at all. It actually is very close to China Glaze Ingrid, but without the gold shimmer. The brushstrokes in this one are barely visible, and I really, really like this color. However. The undertones in this fight with the undertones in my skin, and just makes my skin look dirty. Which is very, very depressing.

Lancôme Spring 2013 Vernis in Love Nail Wheel Swatches, Photo, Review

Again, super quick post, you guys gotta see these colors:IMG_8679

Rose Macaroon | A bright pink that leans warm.

Sugar Rose | A baby pink. You really have to build it up to see it. Pretty color though.

Peach Melodie | A bright red-orange.

Lancôme Summer 2013 Vernis in Love Nail Wheel Swatches, Photos, Review

IMG_8676Hey guys! Today I have a mini-post for y’all. I plan on buying all of these, but I just had to post the nail wheels for you guys to see. These polishes are just too pretty. They all applied smoothly, though of course that’s on a plastic nail, not a real nail bed, so take that with a grain of salt. But they’re just so, so, so, so shiny! Like, you can almost see yourself.

Simply Aqua | A super pale blue, a little more pale than Essie’s Something Borrowed, a lot lighter than China Glaze’s Kinetic Candy.

Ultramarine Green | A bright blue mint. Not Tiffany blue, it’s not that green. It’s a true blue mint. Very clean and fresh-looking.

Aqua Bleu | A bright sky blue, leaning gray-purple. Almost cornflower.

Plunge Pool | A soft cobalt blue. The press pictures of this made it seem like a bright, vivid cobalt, but the bottle looks like a dusty blue, like a lighter China Glaze First Mate. However, once you get it on the nail (plastic) and it starts to shine, it’s an intense (but still soft, if that makes sense.) cobalt. So pretty.

I just needed you guys to see this. I know I’ve been absent- Lancome was in gift, so I was crazy busy for 23 days straight. Tomorrow is my first day off, really, this month. I have my blog folder full up on my computer though, so I have tons to post, just no time to write the post! I have so many product reviews coming up too.

You guys have a good night!

Lancome Rouge In Love 146 Miss Coquelicot and 381 Violette Coquette

Today I have some Lancome lipsticks for you guys! I just got these after drooling over them for a long while. I couldn’t decide between Violette Coquette or 377 Midnight Rose… I went with Violette Coquette. But it was close.IMG_8549IMG_8550 IMG_8554

146 Miss Coquelicot is a poppy red creme. Super opaque, but it doesn’t sit heavy on the lip. I have, like, continuously dry lips, so they’re always flakey, and most of the Rouge in Love colors just put a spotlight on those problem areas. This one does not.

381 Violette Coquette is a vivid, true purple. This actually is the exact color in the photo- normally purples end up a completely different color. This one, plus my natural lip pigmentation turns it a gorgeous rose color after a while, even though it starts out that bright purple.

The whole Rouge in Love line is extremely comfortable. It claims to have 6 hour wear, but I find it to be more like 4, then a light stain is left for a while. However, I apply a layer, blot, then use my finger to press setting powder over the entire lip and super lightly blending it out, so it is a thin layer of powder setting the color underneath. Then I apply another layer, blot, then I’m on my way. Using this method I can get any lipstick to last at least six hours. When I wore Rouge in Love in 377 Midnight Rose home from work using powder in between layers, it lasted for 14 hours with only a tiny bit of fading around the edges. I had to use two different eye makeup removers to get it off. I thought I had a permanent lip tattoo. So maybe that isn’t the best way to wear these, especially if you plan on changing your lip color sometime in the day!

So, yeah, rambling contained. These lipsticks feel super light, like a balm, just like Lancome claims they do. They don’t dry out my lips, and my lips are suuuper sensitive. The come in a ton of colors, and they have a gorgeous, gorgeous packaging to them. They last a long time, and fade evenly down to a stain. The only downside is that if you have texture to your lips, a la Angelina Jolie, or they’re just temperamental and flaky, a few of the lighter colors, and maybe even some of the darker ones, will make those lines and problems stand out a bit more.

Available: $26.50 at Lancôme counters everywhere. All colors (that they’ve released so far) are all permanent shades.

Lancôme Spring 2013 In Love Collection: Kohl in Love 501 Jade Crush | Swatches, Photos, and Review

Good morning! I have something super exciting from Lancôme for ya’ll today!

Lancôme recently released their Spring ’13 “In Love” collection, which looked super promising in promo photos, but also a little worrying. I’ll be the first to admit that Lancôme’s eye pencils aren’t… great. Their liquid and gel liners are fantastic, but their pencils aren’t creamy or soft in the least. So when they announced Kohl in Love in three colors, including a cobalt and a bright turquoise/teal, I was nervous. When we got the colors in, we didn’t have testers, so I bought the two of them blind. (I skipped out on Chocolate Affair because, really, would I ever need a brown liner? I’m allergic to brown liners, and I already have one.) Today I have 501 Jade Crush to review, which is the first I bought. I immediately ripped it out of the silver box and swatched it on my hand and OH MY GOODNESS is it perfect. Take a look!

IMG_7731 IMG_7748 IMG_7735 IMG_7736 IMG_7739Jade Crush is a bright teal, almost turquoise, but it contains just the slightest hint of green. It’s so creamy and smooth and opaque that the third line in my swatch (the wobbly one) was made while barely touching my hand. Folks… this pencils is as soft, if not more so than my Urban Decay ones. When I put it on my eyeball, it took no effort to get it to full strength. This lasts for at least 6 hours before thinking about moving anywhere.

There are a few cons though; I’m worried about sharpening it. It’s so soft, that I fear sharpening will break it. Probably won’t, but the fact is, it doesn’t feel… sturdy? It’s like that feeling when you’re holding a bottle of pigment, thinking, “Oh man, I am SO going to drop this.” The other thing is… this pencil really stays on. Now, I can get this off my lashline easily with Pond’s, but when it’s on a drier area of skin, say… you’re arm? It can stain. I wore it as a cat eye and it came off with no issue, but the swatch shown above took a full couple days to get off.

You can get it at department store counters now for $26.

What do you guys think? Would you invest in this pencil of near-perfection? Stay tuned for the sister pencil in the collection, the cobalt blue named Deepwater Blue!

(P.S. I am a little bored with Lancôme’s whole “in Love” products. They’re amazing products, better than all previous ones, but the name isn’t cute anymore. Make Emma Watson look super edgy!)

Lancôme Eyeshadow Swatches — A Lot of Them!

Hey guys! Like I promised, I have some super fun stuff coming up, INCLUDING SOME GIVEAWAYS! So make sure you you’re following!

Today I have a bunch of Lancôme eyeshadow swatches. I’ve been trying to find swatches of their shadows for a while now, which no one seems to have done. So I thought… Why not I? So, lets get started!

Off The Rack, Daylight, Sultry Mauve, "IT" List (no primer)

Off The Rack, Daylight, Sultry Mauve, Ciel du Soir (no primer)

(Clockwise from upper left)

Off The Rack — a soft semi-sheer rose shimmer

Daylight — A semi-sheer matte off white/ivory

Sultry Mauve — a matte dark mauve, leans towards brown or purple at times.

Ciel du Soir — Matte charcoal gray, pretty patchy.

IMG_7121Kitten Heel — Opaque peachy rose with a strong gold shift. Definitely one of my favorite eyeshadows of all time. SO pretty. So soft and pigmented.

Latte — Semi-opaque matte cream. It’s the perfect base color for me- it’s practically invisible! It’s super soft too. An absolutely excellent highlighter for darker skin tones.

Statuesque — Intense matte black, not too patchy and pretty opaque. By intense, I mean while it’s not 100% opaque, it’s… intense. As in, it’s there.

Color du Jour — Metallic wine color with gold and copper shimmer. Pretty patchy, but it’s definitely buildable.

Volcano, Daylight, The New Black, Makeover (no primer)

Volcano, Daylight, The New Black, Makeover (no primer)

Volcano — Gray taupe shimmer, mostly opaque. One of my favorites, for sure

Daylight — Semi-sheer matte off-white, great for the inner corner of your eye due to it’s ability to build up easily.

The New Black — Opaque matte black with silver glitter. Super opaque, not patchy in the slightest. Absolutely gorgeous and elegant.

Makeover — Opaque cool pink metallic. Almost a pinkish blue shift, but not quite. Just a really strong metallic finish. While I probably won’t wear this one everyday, it’s nice to have on hand, just in case.

Tulle — lavender with gold glitter

Optic — Gorgeous irridecent lilac shimmer

Trendsetter — Dark plum with wine and pink microglitter. Pretty patchy, but easily buildable

Snap — Warm wine shimmer, great payoff, gorgeous color. Similar to Urban Decay’s Hustle, I believe. A little more warm and less opaque. So not really too close at all.

Waif, Filigree, Fashion Show, Couture (NO PRIMER!!!!!)

Waif, Filigree, Fashion Show, Couture (NO PRIMER!!!!!)

Waif — Basic light matte brown, warm. A color everyone should own at least six of. Close to Urban Decay Naked.

Filigree — light blonde gold shimmer, great payoff.

Fashion Show — Showstopping mega intense crazy beautiful red copper. Oh. My. Gosh. When swatching, I barely touched the pan. I can’t get over this color.

Couture — Patchy matte mahogany brown. The weakest color, the only negative to a great quad. I wish Moccachino were in this one’s place.

Chic — Warm medium matte brown, a bit patchy, but builds quickly.

Honeymoon — An opaque champagne shimmer.

Guest List — A deep brown with wine microglitter.

Designer — A metallic green with gold shimmer and a little bit of a shift. Designer is one of Lancome’s basics, along with Waif. The “you just need them” shades.

Vue, Daylight, Amethyst Charm, Drama (no primer)

Vue, Daylight, Amethyst Charm, Drama (no primer)

Vue — An opaque gold shimmer.

Daylight — Semi-sheer matte off-off white/ivory.

Amethyst Charm — Super patchy dark plum with purple and pink glitter.

Drama — An irredescent dark lavender with an almost periwinkle shift.

Designer — Metallic green shimmer.

Latte — Semi-opaque matte cream.

“IT” List — Matte black

Volcano — Gray taupe shimmer, mostly opaque.

Okay, I think that’s all – for now. Lancôme’s shadows are really, truly great quality. But I will say, for those who don’t know, that I was recently hired as a beauty advisor for Lancôme. This doesn’t change my opinions of the product, just as a review of a product sent to me wouldn’t change my opinion of the quality of the product itself, just opens up the product availability to me. Got it? Okay. Legal stuffs out of the way, back to some information.

Individual Eyeshadows | $18

Eyeshadow Quads | $43

Five Color Shadow & Liner Palette | $49

Alright, off to go watermark more pictures so that I can post more than once a month, hopefully.

Have a wonderful day or night, wherever you are!
