News: Nicole by OPI will release a line of “texture coats”

WHAT THEY SAY: Nicole by OPI announces the launch of Texture Coat, a line of graffiti-style nail art products inspired by OPI’s bestselling Shatter. Available in six chic shades – Gold, Silver, Red, White, Turquoise and BlackTexture Coat offers a simple way to create unique, unpredictable patterns on nails with a quick, at-home application.

HOW TO USE ITTo use this product, start with Base Coat Plus, followed by two coats of any Nicole by OPI nail lacquer. Let the lacquer dry completely before applying Texture Coat. Complete the manicure with Top Coat Plus for a high-shine finish.

MY THOUGHTSSo… what sounds like more shatter? I’m hoping it’s not… only because OPI has all of these colors except gold.

  1. Sounds like Shatter. I have China Glaze’s ‘crackle’ which is more simple than this. You just need any color varnish as base, crackle, and a top coat. Apparently as mentioned by the author, with these ‘texture coats’ you need a base, two coats of a nicole color, texture coats and a top coat. Is it the same for shatter? If it is I will just stick to china glaze.
